This class is one part of the Leadership Training for new officers in our church; however it is open to everyone. Upward is a fun, reliable, passionate, and encouraging sports ministry for boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade. Upward provides first-class, organized, and detailed sports programs in basketball, soccer, and flag football.

Sports are a great way for children to learn about teamwork, respect for authority, and sportsmanship. The sad part is all those things are being lost in today's sporting society. With an Upward Sport, these key essentials are included to create the best sporting experience for every child that participates. Each Upward Sport is designed to reveal the winner in every child. Every child plays. Every child learns. Every child is a Winner!

Christ Community Church will begin Upward participation with basketball starting with player evaluations beginning in early November followed by games beginning in January 2010. The season consists of eight weeks with one practice and one game per week per team.

Christ Community Church's Upward Sports program needs volunteers: coaches, referees, prayer partners, devotion leaders, concessions, facility prep and clean up, greeters, etc. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this wonderful outreach opportunity for our church and help it reach its full potential to honor and glorify God in our community. We treasure the opportunity to provide a safe place for your child to feel loved and cherished in an environment where teachers are gentle and kind. We are not a day care program, but a preschool; we are not a substitute for your home, but an extension of the home environment. Christ Community Preschool will provide educational opportunities and developmentally appropriate experiences for your child in a Christian environment. Our trained staff is committed to advocate for your child. We provide safe, age appropriate playgrounds, toys, books, equipment, and classrooms. Please let us know if we can help you in any way or if we can answer your questions.

The program is for toddlers ("Tiny Tots") through a pre-kindergarten class.

The registration fee of $75.00 (plus $50.00 for each additional child in a family) is payable at the time of registration.

The basic school day is from 9am - noon with lunch bunch optional from noon - 1:00 pm.

Additional programs are available from 8:00am - 9:00am and from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.

We consider it a privilege to take care of God’s precious little ones. The nursery is open during both services for babies birth to 2 years old.

The nursery consists of four rooms:

Infant Room - B101
birth to crawlers

Crawler Room - B103
crawlers to steady, strong walkers

Young Toddlers - B102
early walkers to 19 months

Older Toddlers - B100
19 months to 2 years (will be promoted to the 2’s class on Promotion Sunday if the child turns two by October 15.

A nursing room is provided for nursing mothers. Also, in the infant room is the sleeping room, with prepared baby beds.

Bill Marsh is the Pastor of Christ Community Church. In that role, he preaches each week, leads the staff, and serves as Moderator of the Session (the active ruling elders and ministers who govern our congregation). He is also Vice-Moderator of the ARP Church for 2008-2009.

Bill grew up in the Carolinas and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1986.

After a career in the road-building industry and service as a ruling elder in PCA and ARP churches, he sensed God's call to pastoral ministry. He holds a Master of Arts from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando) and a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary.

Bill married Patty in 1989 and they are the parents of Will (17), Ben (15), and Anna Scott (11). When he isn't working, he is usually reading or doing something with his family and friends.

Scott North The Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church, which seeks opportunities to minister the gospel to hurting women-by both word and deed-while demonstrating mercy toward hurting women and men in order that their lives and the lives of their unborn babies may be physically and spiritually saved. At the center, we help women cope with unplanned pregnancies and consider their alternatives in a passionate, supportive environment with the help of trained peer counselors. We provide them information they need to make the best choice for them. All of our services are free, even pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. If they choose adoption, we have information about several agencies along with valuable support counseling with a volunteer birth mother. If they decide to parent we offer classes on pregnancy, labor and delivery, child development, and parenting. We also offer Bible study to those who are pursuing spiritual growth.
We offer Post Abortion Counseling for those women who are experiencing struggles due to past abortions. We provide support for those who choose parenting in the form of baby clothes, diapers, baby beds, strollers, etc. Maternity clothes are also available.
Our needs at this time relate to building repairs and maintenance. We need cleaning service volunteers, refreshments for various functions, volunteer receptions and counselors. We provide the training.
We can always use help with our fundraisers: the Spring Walk for Life, Baby Bottle Campaign and The Fall Banquet. Financial donations keep our services free of charge.

As an extension of, and in keeping with the mission and vision of Christ Community Church, Hope Counseling Center endeavors to provide quality professional Christian counseling to individuals and families of the greater Greensboro community. The counselors at Hope strive to create a safe place for hurting people to honestly face the pain and struggle of life and to experience healing, redemption and transformation through the power of God. Our counselors are mental health professionals who hold Masters degrees in Counseling or a closely related field, and are Licensed Professional Counselors or are in the process of being licensed in the state of North Carolina.
