Adult Bible Fellowships are Sunday morning classes that meet to build and deepen our faith and knowledge of God. Pick from a variety of offerings at 9:15 a.m., beginning Sunday, September 13.
The Acts of the Apostles
Teacher: James Dickson
Room: D120-122
Acts serves as the sequel to the Gospel of Luke and documents the growth of the early church. In studying this wonderful book, we see first hand the grace of God at work as He used the Holy Spirit to move in the lives of a band of fishermen, tax collectors, and a misguided religious tyrant to spread the Word of God to all ends of the earth. Along the way, we'll study the methods God used to expand His church to the Gentile world. Come and join us as we study the timelessness of this important book.
The Westminster Confession of Faith
Teacher: Pastor Bill Marsh
Room: D126
Which is it? A drab, dusty 350-year-old document? Or one of the best summaries of the most important topics of the Christian faith? We think it's the latter! Come find out what our ministers, elders, and deacons believe the Bible teaches about some critical subjects like the Bible, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Salvation, the Law, Grace, Christian Liberty, the Sacraments, and many others. As a Reformed Presbyterian church, our officers must understand and adopt the Westminster Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of what the Bible teaches. It is always subordinate to the Bible, but we also believe that it summarizes with incredible accuracy the most important topics the Bible addresses. This class is one part of the Leadership Training for new officers in our church; however it is open to everyone. Whether you want to serve as an officer in the future or just understand our theology better, this is the place to start. To listen to previous classes, click here.
The Gospel of John (Part II)
Teacher: Sam Cain
Room: D131-133
Martin Luther said of the Gospel of John: "This is the unique, tender, genuine chief Gospel. . . . Should a tyrant succeed in destroying the Holy Scriptures and only a single copy of the Epistle to the Romans and the Gospel according to John escape him, Christianity would be saved." The Gospel of John bears witness to the origins, ministry, death, resurrection and exaltation of Jesus the Messiah. More people have probably come to know Jesus Christ through the Gospel of John than any other single portion of Scripture. Through this study, we will come to a greater understanding of Jesus Christ as our God and Savior. You are invited to join us for this study.
