
Elizabeth M. Atkinson, M.A., LPC
Ms. Atkinson received her M.A. in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte in 2004. She received her B.S. in Nutrition at Auburn University in Auburn in 1978. She is a member of the PSI CHI (The National Honor Society in Psychology), 'Psychology Today', the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), North Carolina Counselors Association (NCCA), North Carolina Licensed Practicing Counselors (NCLPC) and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Ms. Atkinson is familiar with business restructuring for 25 years, ministry leadership as the Executive Director of the local crisis pregnancy care center, and counseling in private practice. She serves on the Advisory Board for Freedom House, a local ministry for mothers with addictions dedicated to long term care. She works with children, adolescents, college students, and adults. She enjoys helping individuals with concerns around anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Along with gaining coping skills, Ms. Atkinson focuses on helping her clients secure a greater understanding of themselves so that they may experience more meaningful relationships, achieve their goals, and find a sense of fulfillment.
